Biography:

Chris Merkley began playing music publicly at the age of 14 and has since traveled to a dozen countries, performing on countless street corners and club stages throughout the United States and Europe. Drawing from influences such as Little Walter, Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and the Allman Brothers, Merkley blends numerous incarnations of blues music as it has evolved through the decades. With the combination of resonator guitar, blues harmonica, stomping feet and baritone vocals, he carves his style between the generations of blues, folk, and rock music.

Since becoming a full-time musician approximately 7 years ago, Merkley has composed original music for HBO, completed four tours of Europe and five tours of the U.S. with The Crooners and has also performed and placed original music in several independent films.
